On April 28, 2018 , the Arts & Sciences Center will present the third annual “Tropical Living Festival” at our Pahoa facility.
Our theme is Community, Culture, and the Environment. The purpose of this festival is to give the community an opportunity to see demonstrations and gather information that celebrates life and promotes stability in our island home.
This year we will amazing entertainment, including Lito Arkangel, Kalapana Awa Band, the Hiccup Circus, youth Hula ensemble Hui O Kanikapila, and HAAS's own School of Rock group HAAStile. We offer many hands-on cultural and educational activities! There will be lei making, a Kukui Top Tournament, Konane, face painting, plus interactive displays by the UHH Marine Science Dept, , Korean Natural Farming, Garden To Grinds, , Malama O Puna, Keauohana Forest Restoration, Hawaii Ulu Cooperative, Palm Oil Biofuels, Green Mountain Fruit Stand, BIISC, Bodacious Ladies, and more!! Plus ono grinds from Left Point Pizza, Kula Shave Ice, and P&J's Mexican Food! Join us this year for the third annual celebration of our island lifestyles. Bring your 'ohana and enjoy the day!
