On April 13, 2019 , the Arts & Sciences Center will present the fourth annual “Tropical Living Festival” at our Pahoa facility.
Our theme is Community, Culture, and the Environment. The purpose of this festival is to highlight the strengths of our community and celebrate our island's healthy, connected lifestyle.
This year we will amazing entertainment, including Lito Arkangel, Kalapana Awa Band, the Hiccup Circus, our middle school band, and HAAS's own School of Rock group HAAStile. We offer many hands-on cultural and educational activities! There will be lei making, weaving, poi pounding, konane, face painting, plus interactive displays by the UHH Marine Science Dept, the Kohala Center, Blue Zones Project, Garden To Grinds, , Malama O Puna, Keauohana Forest Restoration, Hawaii Ulu Cooperative, and more!! Plus ono grinds from Aloha Gourmet Burgers, the Protect Kanaloa Kaho'olawe 'Ohana, and Halau Te Ha'a Lehua! Join us this year for the fourth annual celebration of our island lifestyles.
